About Dario Dvon

I’ve always known I was different. Born on the beautiful island of Barbados, I started singing at the tender age of eight. My love for music runs deep — it’s in my blood. My father, a celebrated Calypso King, filled our home with rhythm and storytelling, and from him, I inherited not just a talent, but a purpose.

I am Dario Dvon: performer, writer, and vocal coach. My artistry is deeply rooted in my Caribbean heritage, shaped by my early foundation in Barbados, and fueled by a dream to inspire, uplift, and unite. I believe the world needs more love, positivity, equality, and creative courage — and that’s exactly what I aim to share through my work.

Since moving to Toronto, my journey has been filled with both highs and lows, each moment helping me discover my voice, my purpose, and my artistic freedom. From winning The Black Diamond Ball — The Vocalist Canada, to receiving the Open Mic Search Talent Search for the Arts — People’s Choice Award, and most recently, being named the Rising Star Competition Winner at Taste of Lawrence, each milestone reminds me that I am exactly where I’m meant to be.
